Wood Library offers recreation, education, and information for adults of all ages and reading levels through a variety of materials, services, and programs.

Recreational Reading
Users may borrow from a large selection of books: Popular Fiction, Best Sellers, Mysteries, Romances, Westerns, Inspirational, and Science Fiction.

Book Discussion Group
Wood Library offers a book discussion group which meets once a month. Please call Carol Cimino at 394-1381 for details.

Information

The non-fiction collection provides books on a wide range of subjects including arts and humanities, science and technology, cooking and home improvement, health, bestseller non-fiction, and much more. Popular magazines and newspapers are also available. A special parenting collection is located on the ground floor. Librarians at the Reference Desk are available daily by phone, in-person, or online form to help answer your questions. Also, see our online collection of reference links.

Formats
Users may borrow from different types of materials: large print books, audio books on cassette or CD, and fiction and non-fiction works on DVD and video. Digital downloads are also available for audiobooks and ebooks.

Programs
Programs are offered for adults all year round. They include: computer classes, lectures, film series, book discussion groups, author visits, exhibits, and workshops. We often partner with other organizations to do joint programs. For example, we sponsor a history book club with the Ontario County Historical Society. If you have an idea for a program or have one you want to present, call the library at 394-1381. Calendar of Current Programs

Speakers & Tours
Groups and organizations may request a speaker on topics about Wood Library adult services. We can also arrange a tour of the library. Contact Judy Schewe, Adult Services Librarian, at 394-1381.

Computer Tutor
Sorry, the Computer Tutor service is not operating currently. When it returns we will post a notice.

Wood Library Café
The café meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month, 10am to noon. It serves as a community meeting place where adults can socialize, play board and card games, read newspapers and magazines, and enjoy coffee, tea and items from a mid-morning menu. Conversation Table open to all.

Cafe

Wood Library Cafe meets every fourth Wednesday (except July and December). In November the cafe convenes on the 3rd Wednesday.
