Upcoming Friends' Events
Autumn Adventure to Quarry Farm in Elmira, NY, The Center
for Mark Twain Studies, will be October 14.
The Annual Meeting will be September 29 at 7:00 p.m. at
the library. A new slate of officers for 2010-11 will be elected
at the meeting.
The Chocolate Contest will be held November 6. Julie
Cummins, Nancy Rubery and Jackie Wittschen are chairmen.
The Cookie Walk is scheduled for December 11. Julie
Cummins is chairman.
History of the Friends
The Friends of Wood Library was started in the 1960s. It has had
several "resurrections" over the years, but in 1999 an
enthusiastic group began the new "Friends" with great success
(and a lot of fun!). Do join us to realize our goals.

Membership Rates: Individual Membership $10, Senior Citizen
(55+) $5, Student $5, Family $25, Best Friend $40, Individual Friend for
Life $100. The Membership year runs from January 1 through
December 31.
