Materials

Wood Library provides materials for all age levels and types of users: books, magazines, videotapes, DVDs, audiobooks on cassette and CD, downloadable audio and ebooks, newspapers, large print books, local history collection, maps, and tax forms.

BookPage

Each month free complimentary issues of BookPage are available at the Main Floor. BookPage is a monthly general interest book review magazine. An online edition and archives are also available at BookPage.com

Online Catalog

A searchable catalog to Wood Library's holdings, along with the holdings of other members of the Pioneer Library System, is available online at OWWL Access. Users may also log-in with their user-id and PIN to view and manage their personal library account. See Catalog.

Accessibility

Wood Library is handicapped accessible with automated doors and elevator. Two handicap parking spaces are reserved near the rear, ground floor entrance.

Computers

7 public use computers are available for reference, Internet, and a variety of applications such as word processing, and desktop publishing. Computers may be used for one hour. Copies printed from computers are 15¢ per page.

Circulation

Library materials are circulated using an automated system. Materials may be returned at the library or at any public library in the four-county Pioneer Library System: Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston.  Patrons may renew materials in person, by phone at 585-394-1381, or by logging in to their personal library account at http://owwl.org/ Reserves may be placed in person, by phone or online.

Copier

A public-use copy machine is located on the Main Floor. Copies are 15¢ per page.

Book Drop

When the library is closed, items may be returned in the book drops located at the back entrance to the library adjacent to the parking lot.

Borrowing Privileges

Borrowers are required to register in person. A parent signature is required for children 3rd grade and under. Adults must provide identification with a current address. Cards issued by Wood Library may also be used to borrow materials at other participating OWWL libraries throughout the counties of Ontario, Wayne, Wyoming and Livingston..

Fax

Fax service is available for the public at the Main Floor Desk. The cost is $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for additional pages. You must be present to receive a fax.

Interlibrary Loan

If Wood Library does not own an item you are looking for, we can try to borrow it for you by Interlibrary Loan. We can borrow items from other libraries in the Pioneer Library System (Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, and Wyoming counties) and from libraries outside our system. There is a $5.00 fee charged for searching outside the PLS System. When the item is available, we will call you and you will borrow it from Wood Library, just as you would any item in our collection.

Meeting Rooms

Wood Library provides meeting room space for community groups. Please call 585-394-1381 for information. Registration is required.

Notary Public

Notary Public service is available at the Main Floor Desk. Call 585-394-1381 for availability. Ask for Pat Mincer, Notary Public.

Wood Library provides a wide variety of programs for all age levels. Go to the Online Calendar to see our current offerings.

Reference

Reference service is available during library hours in person or by phone 585-394-1381. Questions may also be sent by email woodref@pls-net.org. See the online Reference Desk for more services including online databases which are available 24/7.

Volunteer Services

Volunteers are welcome at Wood Library! To learn more about volunteer opportunities, contact Ann Delforte at 394-1381.

Web Site

Wood Library provides a reliable, up-to-date web site featuring an online library calendar, online searchable catalog, and links to other web sites.

Wi-Fi

Wood Library offers free wi-fi (wireless Internet connection) to the public. You must have a portable computer or other device that is wirelessly enabled. Library card holders may log-in with their 14-digit library card number and PIN. Guest log-ins for visitors are also available. Please ask at the Main Floor Desk for instructions.
